Aniseed (सौंफ) has a cooling effect and has high digestive qualities. Munching of half roasted aniseed after a heavy meal will see you through. It is good for the stomach, liver, burning sensation at the time of urination, and in regulating menses.

Put aniseed and jaggery (गुड़) in equal quantities in a little water, boil and screen it, and take it lukewarm. It will regulate menses.

Take ground aniseed with water for stomach troubles of all kinds.

For bad mouth odour, munch aniseed.
